HOOPER SET FOR INJECTION

Posted on: Sat 20 Mar 2010

Iron manager Nigel Adkins has revealed leading goalscorer Gary Hooper will have an injection in the groin area on Wednesday.

The 13-goal frontman has missed his side's last three games with the problem - indeed, he was named in the team for Saturday's game with Plymouth but had to pull out on the morning of the game because the injury was still affecting him.

Adkins is hopeful that the former Southend striker will be fit for Tuesday night's important home game with bottom-placed Peterborough United.
