DUO PICK UP INJURIES

Posted on: Thu 18 Mar 2010

Iron manager Nigel Adkins confirmed after his side's 3-0 defeat at Newcastle United that two of his players picked up injuries in the loss.

Left-back Marcus Williams is suffering from a groin problem, while midfielder Josh Wright was substituted after injuring his foot.

The duo are early doubts for Saturday's home encounter with Plymouth Argyle.

He confirmed after the game too that David Mirfin missed with a groin strain picked up against Ipswich Town last Saturday while Gary Hooper was ruled out with the groin problem that forced him to miss the game at the weekend.

Adkins said he doesn't know yet whether they will be available for Saturday's clash with the Pilgrims but he and his medical staff will do all they can.
