JONES BACK IN CONTENTION
Iron manager Nigel Adkins was coy when it came to giving team news ahead of Saturday's trip to Ipswich Town.
He said he will do anything he can to give his side an advantage now as Scunthorpe head into their final 12 games of the season.
However, he did confirm centre-back Rob Jones - who has been out of first team action since mid-February with a broken nose - is in contention after working hard in training to recover last week and playing 90 minutes for the reserves at Leicester on Tuesday.
The boss also confirmed that Andrew Wright is fully fit again after recovering from an ankle injury.
"If we did have any injury doubts I wouldn't tell anybody about them now," said Adkins, speaking on The Iron Player.
"We're going to use everything we can to keep the opposition guessing.
"If that just gives us one opportunity to get something from the game then we'll take it.
"We're in a battle and over the course of a long season people are going to have little things wrong with them which they have to deal with.
"I'll choose what's right for the team on Saturday. Every game is different.
"The lads will go out with the information we give them to go out and perform."
Adkins added that Kenny Milne also worked hard while the players were at Champneys Springs in Leicestershire last week but was substituted early in the reserves game at Leicester in midweek because of overexertion.
"We've got to push it but likewise we have to respect the injury he had," continued Adkins.
"He's fine though and in contention for the first team.
"He's been pushing for a first team start and maybe with a bit of over-enthusiasm pushed it too far.
"He'll be fine with a few days rest though."
