WIN ENGLAND TICKETS

Posted on: Mon 22 Feb 2010

Stuart Pearce will lead out the Young Lions in Doncaster next month, as they aim for a crucial win over Greece in the race to reach Denmark in 2011 for the UEFA European Championship crown, and Scunthorpe-United.co.uk have got five pairs of free tickets to see the showdown.

The Keepmoat Stadium will play host to Greece U21s on Wednesday March 3 in their critical Championship Qualifier, and they want your support to roar them on to victory and overhaul the Greeks to take them to the top of their group.

The game kicks-off at the earlier family-friendly time of 6pm, so it's the perfect chance to get the kids to a big England game and still get home to see the England Senior Team take on Egypt at Wembley later that evening (8pm).

England's U21s - featuring former Scunthorpe loan star Jack Cork - currently sit second in Group Nine, two points behind Greece with a game in hand, so the meeting will play a major part in the destiny of the group. Only one team will definitely reach a play-off for a place in the Finals in Denmark in 2011, while the runners-up will have to sweat on a spot as one of the best second-placed teams in qualifying.

The two nations last met in September when Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge gave England the lead in the Greek town of Tripoli before a virtuoso performance and goal from Panathinaikos winger Sotiris Ninis earned the home side a draw.

Tickets are now on sale and priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for children, it's a great way to see some of England's bright young talent in action.

Tickets are also available for groups of 15 or more* at just £5 and £2.50, while Charter Standard clubs can also apply for a maximum of 25 tickets to the match*.

To win a chance to see the Young Lions in action, simply tell us which of these U21 players previously played for Scunthorpe?

Jack Cork
Daniel Sturridge
Fabien Delph

Email your answer to theiron@scunthorpe-united.co.uk before 12.00pm on Tuesday February 22 to be in with a shout of winning.
