United's players were back being put through their paces on Friday morning as their preparation for next season's Championship campaign continued.

The Iron squad gathered together again on Wednesday, and boss Nigel Adkins held an important meeting with his players to outline how they were going to approach the new season.

They then came in at individual times on Thursday to have fitness checks before gathering for their first proper session on Friday.

Due to their success in the League One play-offs, the Iron finished their season three weeks after most other clubs and have had a shorter summer resting time.

Among those training on Friday were Kenny Milne, back from a knee injury which saw him miss the majority of last season, and Ian Morris, who is yet to sign his new deal with the club.

They will continue to prepare over the next week before their first friendly of pre-season at Bottesford Town next Saturday (3.00pm kick-off).
