Details of when the first round of the Carling Cup will be drawn are now available.

The draw for the first round will take place on Tuesday 16th June 2009 and will be released to the public at 10:00am.

The draw will be made just 24 hours before the full Championship fixtures are released on the 17th June.

The Iron haven't progressed further than round one for the last two seasons having been knocked out 3-0 at Hartlepool last season and then suffering a 2-1 home defeat to the same Club the year before.

The last time the Iron progressed to round 2 was 2006/07 when they beat Lincoln 4-3 in round one before losing to Aston Villa 2-1 at Glanford Park.
