TROTTER OFFERED NEW DEAL AT IPSWICH
Liam Trotter has been offered a new contract by Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane.
The 20-year-old midfielder's current deal expires in June but having met up Keane he is now in discussions over extending his stay at Portman Road.
"I have had a chat with Liam and we have offered him a new contract," Keane told Ipswich's official website. "I've told him that I'd like to keep him at the Club."
Trotter, who finished the season on loan with the Iron, played a part in the Iron's promotion to the Championship. The midfielder made 14 appearances for the Iron, one of which came at Wembley when he came on as a second half substitute as United beat Millwall 3-2. Trotter was on target once during his stay that coming in the 3-3 draw at Northampton Town.
