CLIFF SELECTED IN LEAGUE SIDE

Iron captain Cliff Byrne has been named in the League One team of the week after his equalising goal earned Scunthorpe a point in their massively important play-off place clinching home draw with Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

He also scored in the match against Cheltenham earlier in the week - his first goal in more than three years - and joins Grant McCann, Gary Hooper, Kevan Hurst, Krystian Pearce, Henri Lansbury, Martyn Woolford, Paul Hayes, Joe Murphy, Izzy Iriekpen and Garry Thompson in being chosen so far this season.
