SKY PAY DAY FOR IRON

Posted on: Sun 03 May 2009
United will receive £20,000 from Sky Sports, who will cover the club's League One play-off semi-final first leg against Milton Keynes Dons at Glanford Park on Friday night.

The game will be available to watch live via the red button on Sky Sports 1 as it clashes with a Championship first leg semi-final.

It will be the second time Scunthorpe have been on television this season - after the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Luton Town at Wembley was televised.

This is Sky's first live visit to Glanford Park since December 2007 when United drew 1-1 with Blackpool.

The second leg at stadium:mk on Friday, May 15 will also be shown live on Sky Sports 1 although it is not known yet how much the club would receive.

Meanwhile, there will be lengthy features on this weekend's dramatic 1-1 draw with Tranmere on Sky Sports' Big League Weekend 2 on Monday night, and ITV1's The Championship on Sunday evening.
