UNITED STAY TOP

Posted on: Sat 15 Nov 2008

The Iron will enter next Saturday's top of the table clash with Leicester City at Glanford Park as league leaders.

United won 2-1 at Bristol Rovers on Friday night to overtake Leicester at the top of League One, but the Foxes failed to overhaul Scunthorpe on Saturday after they let slip a two goal lead at Swindon, where they drew 2-2 following a late fightback from the managerless Robins.

Nigel Adkins' side are now a point clear at the top of the division, with Millwall level on 32 points with Leicester.

Elsewhere in League One, Leeds slipped up by losing 2-1 at Huddersfield. Millwall were 1-0 victors at home to Stockport, while Milton Keynes Dons won 3-1 at Hartlepool.
