Dogged midfielder Sam Togwell will miss next Saturday's top of the table home clash with Leicester City at Glanford Park after receiving his fifth booking of the season in Friday night's 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.

The former Barnsley ballwinner was shown a yellow card for kicking the ball away midway through the second period at the Memorial Stadium and, as a result, serves a one match ban.

He has been a key player since signing three months ago and it is a big blow for Scunthorpe to lose his services for the visit of the Foxes.

Team-mates Grant McCann and David Mirfin remain on four cautions for the campaign so far.
