The Iron could name an unchanged side from that which won 3-0 at Stockport last weekend when they head to Brighton and Hove Albion in League One on Saturday.

Making the trip on Friday morning, spirits were high that Scunthorpe could pull off their fourth win in succession against a side just above them in the division's play-off positions.

United boss Nigel Adkins was encouraged by Izzy Iriekpen's return to training on Thursday, but it is unlikely that the captain will be risked for the match against Micky Adams' Seagulls.

Definitely out is Kenny Milne (recovering from knee surgery), while player/assistant manager Andy Crosby will also be absent for the game at his old stomping ground of the Withdean Stadium.

It is most likely that the visitors not make any alterations from the side which won at Stockport last weekend though.

Brighton will be missing Adam Virgo as they chase a first home win of the season. The midfield man has a knee problem.

Meanwhile Steven Thomson has trained fully this week after recovering from an ankle problem and is vying for a midfield berth with David Livermore and Doug Loft.

The referee for the game is P. Crossley. I. J. Crouch and B. C. Holderness are the assistant referees, with I. J. Woodward operating as the fourth official.
