CROSBY EYES FORTNIGHT RETURN
Posted on: Fri 25 Jul 2008
Iron player-assistant manager Andy Crosby is still struggling with the knee problem which prematurely ended last season for him.
The 35-year-old frustratingly sat out the final two months of the club's Championship adventure with patellar tendinitis.
After it seemed like he had recovered from the problem, though, he suffered a relapse two weeks ago.
As a result, the former Oxford man has sat out the first three games of pre-season - concentrating on his coaching duties.
"I still haven't got over the injury," Crosby told Iron World.
"I did all my rehab at the end of last season, I went and did a coaching course at Lilleshall and was fine.
"I then came back for pre-season and was fine for the first ten days.
"Unfortunately it's flared up again after doing one session.
"In a couple of weeks I hope to be back though and ready to join in training again."
