A WHOLE NEW CHALLENGE - MILNE
New Iron defender Kenny Milne says he turned down a number of other offers to sign for Scunthorpe.
The powerful Scottish centre-back has spent all his career north of the border, but manager Nigel Adkins managed to sell the club to him.
The 28-year-old told Iron World: "I had quite a few offers to come down to England, I've played in Scotland for a long time now and I fancied a whole new challenge.
"I spoke to the manager and I was dead impressed with what he had to say. He has ambitions to get the club back into the Championship and I want to be a part of that.
"I've been offered the chance to come down to England and I think now is the best time to do that."
And Milne will be presented with a quick opportunity to meet his team-mates for the first time on Monday, when they head off to Champneys Springs in Leicestershire for a week-long training camp.
He added: "Obviously I'll be a bit nervous, I don't really know anybody here but by speaking to the manager I know they are a great bunch of boys.
"It will be a good chance to get away and bond with the boys."
