UNITED ANNOUNCE THIRD FRIENDLY
Posted on: Fri 16 May 2008
The Iron will travel to League Two side Rotherham United for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 22.
The match will kick-off at Millmoor at 7.30pm, and sees attacker Jonathan Forte revisit a former club.
It promises to be a strong early test against a team who finished ninth in their division last season.
It will be their first visit to the South Yorkshire ground for two years, with United losing 2-1 there in League One back in August 2006.
This is the third friendly that Scunthorpe have revealed for pre-season 2008-09, with home games against Sheffield United (Saturday, July 26) and Grimsby Town (Saturday, August 2) coming after this fixture.
www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk will have further friendly announcements once fixtures are finalised.
