On-loan striker Tomi Ameobi scored his third goal for Scunthorpe's reserves as they were held to a 1-1 draw in their final away match of the campaign at Grimsby Town.
The Leeds man handed the visitors an early lead, before the Mariners hit back in the second half through Andy Taylor.
Amongst the professionals starting were Josh Lillis, Joe Wilcox, Andrew Wright, Tomi Ameobi, Alex Morfaw and Peter Winn.
On-trial Leeds pair Chris Fisher and Duane Grace also played a full 90 minutes for Tony Daws' men.
Ameobi scored in the seventh minute after a mix-up in the Mariners defence.
The ball rebounded off the Grimsby keeper - former Iron loan stopper Steve Croudson, making a one-off appearance - and the young forward pounced on it and calmly slotted it home into an empty goal.

Morfaw combined well with Ameobi to create another clearcut chance after 11 minutes - with a relatively inexperienced away side looking strong.
In the first half, Scunthorpe had the most of the possession, but did not convert their opportunities. Lillis made a fine save just before half time to preserve the 1-0 lead.
In the second half it was a different story though.
The hosts equalised on 55 minutes after a defensive error though Taylor.
A minute later, Morfaw took a knock and eight minutes after that he was substituted.
Grimsby were the stronger team in the second period and had the better of the play as they tightened up defensively and became more creative in midfield.
With nine minutes to go, Lillis made another fine save, while Jake Picton cleared off the line and Jamie Hales got injured. They managed to keep the score at 1-1 until the full time whistle blew.
They have two games left now, the first of which sees the second string host Barnsley next Tuesday night (7pm kick-off).
The second string then host Sheffield Wednesday six days later.
