Leicester City manager Gary Megson has confirmed that two of his key players will return for the trip to United on Saturday.

Midfielders Stephen Clemence and James Wesolowski are available for selection following an enforced layoff through injury, and their return delights the former Nottingham Forest boss.

Megson told lcfc.co.uk: "Stephen and James will both come back into consideration this weekend.

"It's good having those two players back and that comes as a benefit from the break that we have had."

One player who will be absent is young England U19 star Joe Mattock, who has picked up an injury while on international duty.

He was on show at Glanford Park on Sunday in their 6-0 demolition of Romania.

"Joe has come back from his time with the England under 19s with a knock," added Megson. "He may be a doubt for Saturday.

"But as far as we are aware everyone else should be coming back from international duty fully fit ahead of the game."

Meanwhile, Megson is also hoping to strengthen his squad with a signing ahead of the match.

He said: "I'd like to think that we are close to bringing someone in. That will obviously initially be on loan - with the transfer window currently being closed.

"But nothing has happened as yet to make that 100 percent concrete. We will have to wait and see if anything happens between now and the Scunthorpe game."
