Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins wants his team to show the nation what they are capable of when Sky TV broadcast Saturday night's encounter with Leicester City live.

Adkins is excited at the prospect of taking on Gary Megson's side and has encouraged the club's support to turn out and be the Twelfth Man as the club look to return to winning ways at home.

"We're really looking forward to it," said the United boss, speaking on Iron World.

"It will be a tough game - they're committed, and very organised.

"A different formation yet again, so we've worked on that throughout the course of the week.

"It's a great game. Hopefully it will be a full house. It is going to be on Sky and hopefully people can record it, come down to sing and shout, and then watch themselves on the telly later"

Nigel Adkins wants the fans to come out in force for the visit of Leicester

"It's a great game. Hopefully it will be a full house. It is going to be on Sky and hopefully people can record it, come down to sing and shout, and then watch themselves on the telly later.

"We want them to come down and create a special atmosphere. The floodlights will be on and every game at Glanford Park this season has been a really special occasion, and this is one people should look forward to."

The match kicks off at 5.20pm to accommodate the TV cameras, and Adkins insists his team are well-prepared for the later starting time.

"We've got ourselves organised," he added. "Jeannie Baker, a well-respected nutrionist who we've had at the football club for as long as I've been here, gave all the lads a good talk on Monday about how we want to prepare for eating food - because it's obviously a different timescale on Saturday and food preparation is important.

"We've shown attention to detail so that when we go into the game on Saturday we're bang on for it."
