United almost have a clean bill of health going into Saturday night's televised home encounter against Leicester City (5.20pm kick-off).

Striker Martin Paterson will definitely be involved. He missed out on playing for Northern Ireland U21's in midweek due to personal problems back in England but he has trained for most of the week and looks set to start as he seeks to add to his five goals for the season.

His fellow forward Paul Hayes was rested for the last home match against Watford as boss Nigel Adkins looked to utilise the pace of Paterson and Jonathan Forte against the Hornets but he will be hoping for a recall to the team this weekend. Adkins could utilise Forte, who scored in that match, on one of the wings.

Jack Cork missed training on Thursday after playing three matches in six days for England U19's. However, he will train on Friday and is in the squad for the game.

Meanwhile, midfield man Ian Morris (below) is nearing a return after missing out on the season so far with a knee problem sustained in pre-season.

He is still some way short of match fitness though and looks poised to play in the home reserve game against Grimsby Town next Wednesday

The only player currently in the treatment room is midfield man Alex Morfaw, who is still in rehab after an exploratory ankle operation.

The referee for the match is S. W. Mathieson.

If you can't make it to Glanford Park on Saturday, Sky Sports 1 will start broadcasting the game with Leicester City from 5.15pm with the match kicking off five minutes later.

It will be the Iron's 13th appearance in front of their cameras, and Nigel Adkins' side will be hoping to turn on the style in front of a packed Glanford Park.
