United's reserve team take on Hull City at Glanford Park on Tuesday night as third host first in the Pontins Holiday League East (7pm kick-off).
Scunthorpe are set to name a strong side for the game, with first-teamers Marcus Williams, Cleveland Taylor and Jonathan Forte ready to line-up against the Tigers.
Also featuring is Cameroon midfielder Alex Morfaw (right), who is making his first appearance since signing permanently. He picked up minor ankle damage while a trialist for United in a pre-season friendly against Lincoln City.
Elsewhere, Australian striker Daniel McBreen, the in-form Peter Winn, plus fellow pro's Josh Lillis and Joe Wilcox, will also figure in the starting line-up.
The Iron's reserves have started the season strongly, taking a draw at Sheffield United and then winning at home to Rotherham.
Scunthorpe United: Lillis, Wilcox, Williams, Canavan, Webster, Morfaw, Taylor, Smith, McBreen, Forte, Winn.
Substitutes: Porter, Turner, Barnett, Gyoury-Hales, Moxon.
Admission costs £2 adults and £1 concessions. Season-ticket holders are admitted for free.
