CHANGES MADE TO NATIONAL LIST

Posted on: Mon 09 Jul 2007
There will be a number of new officials who could grace Glanford Park next season.

Age, injury, work or personal commitments, they affect us all, and football officials are no different.

High profile individuals, Graham Poll and Dermot Gallagher, have disappeared from the big Premiership stage.

And, besides these two, five other 'men in black' to have honourably served time with the League over recent campaigns, are also omitted from 'the list' for 2007/08. They stand down for various reasons, most were familiar faces at Glanford Park. Those moving on include two West Midlands based referees, Trevor Parkes and Ray Olivier, who the Iron have had their fair share of dealings with in the past.

Added to the 'National List' for 2007/08
Stuart Attwell - Warwickshire
Steve Cook - Surrey
Roger East - Wiltshire
Karl Evans - Greater Manchester
Andy Haines - Tyne and Wear
Graham Horwood - West Yorkshire
Gary Lewis - Cambridgeshire
Michael Oliver - Northumberland
Gavin Ward - Surrey

Uniquely, Michael Oliver now joins his father Clive in the National List of referees. For the first time the League can boast they have a parent and child as referees, on their books at the same time.
