Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins is confident Kevan Hurst, Ian Morris and Joe Murphy will sign new contracts. The trio's deals are due to expire, but they have been offered terms to stay at Glanford Park following promotion to the Championship.

Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Joe Murphy has agreed a new two-year contract to extend his stay at Glanford Park, BBC Radio Humberside understands. The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international will sign the deal when the team resumes training on Wednesday.

Paul Ellender has joined from Alfreton Town after a very successful spell at Boston United, where he played more than 228 games for the Pilgrims in a seven year stay. He started his career at Scunthorpe United Youth.
