Iron midfielder Matt Sparrow hopes to bring back some famous faces from Scunthorpe United's past when his testimonial takes place next year.

The 27-year-old, who is in his tenth season with the club, hopes to cap a landmark campaign with another promotion from League One.

And he has designs on reuniting a number of popular old faces for his big day some time in the new year.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "Hopefully I can get a good game arranged and I'm in the process of doing that.

"I've spoken to people like Peter Beagrie, Andy Keogh, Billy Sharp, Jack Cork and Alex Calvo-Garcia and they've all agreed. It will be a good night if everyone comes back."
