Striker Ben May says the loss of League One's top spot to Leicester City, who won their game in hand against Yeovil on Tuesday night, won't affect the Iron as they continue their bid for promotion back to the Championship.

Indeed, Nigel Adkins' side can reclaim it with a victory at Bristol Rovers on Friday night.

"It doesn't worry me. The way we're playing at the moment we don't worry about anyone," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"We're just concerned about ourselves and we're going well.

"It's really tight up the top, it always is really.

"But it's a marathon not a sprint as they say, and it's up to us to carry on winning and hopefully get a little gap going.

"It's going to be horrible going down to Bristol on a Friday night but we'll give it our best and hopefully get another three points."
