United manager Nigel Adkins has hailed the way his team's supporters got behind the Iron against Millwall on Saturday.

The boss feels the 'Twelfth Man' are making themselves heard at vital times this season, helping the Iron through important periods of games, and playing a big part in their run of 13 games undefeated.

"Our confidence is good, our camaraderie is good and the belief about us is good," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"But we don't take anything for granted. You have to earn the right to go and play.

"I think the important thing is for everyone to enjoy playing football and for the supporters to enjoy what is going on.

"I thought they made a massive difference to the team on Saturday against Millwall."
