WE CAN STAY TOP - TOGWELL
Posted on: Mon 27 Oct 2008
Iron midfielder Sam Togwell says his side can continue to get better and better after they extended their lead at the top of the table with a 3-2 win over promotion rivals Millwall on Saturday.
The in-form ballwinner played a key role in the weekend success and believes his team can last the pace.
He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "As long as we keep winning, working hard, creating chances and scoring goals then no-one can knock us off.
"We go into every game knowing that we can win it and believing that we can win it.
"We've put a marker out in the past couple of weeks.
"We've made a little gap now between us and our rivals. That's another three points and we're still top of the league with 13 games unbeaten, long may it continue."
