United manager Nigel Adkins says his side are relishing being top of the table, and the challenges that it presents.

Other clubs step up their game when they face Scunthorpe, and Adkins warns that there are other sides who will pose a threat to their promotion challenge over the course of the season.

"We've got the yellow jersey. We're the ones that people are trying to catch - and it's great. We are loving it," Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"But I'm pretty sure that league positions will fluctuate over the course of the season.

"There are some excellent teams in this division - and Millwall are one of them.

"There are also some other teams who I believe are going to come with a good run.

"But we have shown we can put a run of victories together and if we can just minimise any run of defeats, that gives us an opportunity because we know that we can keep putting runs of victories together.
