Skipper Izzy Iriekpen made it three goals from three games in United's match with Crewe on Saturday and then jokingly warned leading scorer Gary Hooper that he was after his title.

The 26-year-old centre-back told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "Three goals in three games - I should go back up front!

"We work on our set-pieces in training, the corners and the movement. Luckily I was in the right place at the right time to get the goal.

"Anybody could have scored it - well, that's not quite true!

"We work really hard in training and you can see that on the pitch. From the first minute to the 95th minute, the boys don't stop running.

"That's what defines us as a team, but there's a lot of talent out there as well."
