SCOUTING SUCCESS
Iron manager Nigel Adkins has hailed the club's scouting network, and has cited it as one of the reasons behind his club's success.
Scunthorpe sit second in League One and boast a squad full of young talented players, who he believes there is much more to come from.
He told BBC Look North: "We've got an excellent track record of developing players at this club.
"Players that nobody wanted and nobody has heard of come in and one or two can move on to bigger and better things, but not just yet."
In recent years, the scouting network at the club has brought in the likes of Billy Sharp, Andy Keogh and Martin Paterson, who have all been sold on for big money.
