Hat-trick hero Gary Hooper says his only goal target for the season is to score as many as possible, following Saturday's 4-1 thrashing of Brighton at the Withdean Stadium.

The 20-year-old striker made it six strikes for the season, moving to the higher echelons of the League One goalscoring charts.

And he wants to keep on scoring as Nigel Adkins' side aim to win every game put in front of them.

"It was a good result from the lads and I thought it was a good hat-trick," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"I haven't set a target for the season, I just want to score as many as I can.

"This will be the first of many hat-tricks hopefully."
