A look at all the Iron-related stories in Sunday's local and national press:

Nigel Adkins praised the professionalism of his Scunthorpe United side following Saturday's 1-1 friendly draw at Doncaster. The Iron, watched from the stands at the Keepmoat Stadium by former boss Brian Laws, raced into an early lead as Ian Morris headed home Kevan Hurst's corner and looked set to claim a deserved victory before Stuart Elliott netted late on.

Scunthorpe United remain unbeaten in their pre-season fixtures. But they could not make it two wins from two as Doncaster Rovers cancelled out an early Ian Morris goal. The Irishman headed home from a corner within the opening 10 minutes of the first half and the Iron began to look fairly comfortable.

Championship new boys Doncaster salvaged a late 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe, who dropped out of the second tier at the end of last season. Ian Morris headed the Iron ahead after three minutes and Doncaster trailed until the 86th minute when Stuart Elliott lobbed home beautifully from the edge of the area.

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll conceded indiscipline hampered his side during Saturday's 1-1 friendly draw with League One side Scunthorpe. Rovers were behind with barely five minutes played in front of a sparse crowd at the Keepmoat Stadium as Ian Morris headed home Kevan Hurst's corner before Stuart Elliott levelled late on with a neat chip. "There was plenty of endeavour and enthusiasm, but we just lacked a bit of organisation and discipline which will come as the pre-season continues," said O'Driscoll.
