A look at all the Iron-related stories in the local and national press for the weekend starting Saturday, June 28:

Following out-of-contract Andy Butler's departure from Glanford Park, it is widely reported that Huddersfield Town are the favourites for his signature.

While he was disappointed to lose the services of the 24-year-old, Butler leaves the club with the utmost respect from boss Nigel Adkins.

Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "This board and this club did everything it could to try and keep him here.

"At one stage Andy was really happy, to a point, with what we had offered him.

"But his agent has got him an unbelievable deal somewhere else.

"I am bitterly disappointed to lose Andy - but I won't have a bad word said against him.
"

He also told the newspaper, and BBC Radio Humberside, that he wants to sign a centre-back, a central midfield man and a striker.

A left-back could also be added to that list should out-of-contract Marcus Williams decide his future lies elsewhere.

When asked if former loanee Jack Hobbs (with Liverpool) was a target by the radio station he remained coy.
