Scunthorpe United's Official Supporters Club run a half-time competition called the Crossbar Challenge.

By emailing chairman@suosc.co.uk any Iron fan can enter the competition.

Three names will be drawn out of the hat just after the whistle blows for half-time, and if your name is called out you can go out on to the pitch and attempt to hit the crossbar for a cash prize.

The prize rolls over from one game to another, for example if none of the contestants hit the crossbar during the start of a new game the prize of £25 rolls over to the next match, where £50 will be on offer, and onto £75 if the bar still hasn't been hit. The Prize continues to rise until it is won or we reach the end of the season.

To enter the crossbar challenge, please hand your name in to Harold and Colin in the Iron Bar prior to the match. The prize of £25 per match for the first challenger to hit the crossbar cumulates to a maximum amount of £250.

Names must be received by email no later than 9am for a Saturday game, and 2pm for a night game.
