Paul started his time here at Scunthorpe United almost 9 years ago in 1995, setting up the current Youth and Centre of Excellence Department. Since then Paul has been instrumental in the excellent running of this department, which has resulted in many of his players being offered professional contracts.

"Paul has a great track record in bringing players through the youth system and into our first team. Current Scunthorpe United professionals which have come through Paul's hands include Nathan Stanton, Lee Ridley, Andy Butler, Mathew Sparrow, Wayne Graves and Terry Barwick. Paul will be a hard act to follow" says Brian Laws.

Club Chairman Steve Wharton said " On behalf of everyone at Scunthorpe United I would like to thank Paul for his professionalism and hard work throughout his 9 years at the Club and wish him all the very best in his new role at Doncaster. I have always enjoyed a good working relationship with Paul and am very disappointed to see him leave. I know he has thought long and hard before taking this decision"

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Scunthorpe United, but this is a great opportunity for me, one which I feel I cannot turn down" says Paul Wilson.
