NEW ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Scunthorpe United have recently appointed Jason Oxenforth as Associate Director of the Club. Jason, who is 34, has been a supporter of the Iron as long as he can remember and used to watch them with his dad at the Old Showground when he was only a small boy.
He is the proprietor of Trent Valley Electrical Services, based in Gunness and currently has nine employees. Successfully trading for 12 years, Trent Valley Electrical Services work locally and nationally, carrying out all aspects of electrical installation work, maintenance and testing.
Jason hopes to bring new ideas to the club and wants to concentrate on getting more local businessmen involved with Scunthorpe United mainly through sponsorship deal and advertising.
"I hope this will be a good opportunity for me to get more involved with Scunthorpe United and use my association with other local businessmen to benefit the club," said Jason. "I have had a passion for Scunthorpe United for many years and would dearly like to see them progress further as a football club. The current financial restraints are affecting all Football League clubs and further commercial activities are required for the football club to succeed on the pitch."
Jason played for many local football sides during his playing career until a serious knee injury in 1991 forced him to retire. He lives in Gunness and is married with two young daughters.
