After Tuesday night's terrific 3-0 win over Cheltenham we can now look forward to a very exciting encounter with Tranmere Rovers for our final game in the run up to the play-offs.

The sixth place is at stake as we take on Tranmere who are just two points behind us.

It was said by many when the fixtures were published, that they hoped it wouldn't depend on a result for our last game.

I don't think any of us expected it to matter quite as much as two teams both vying for the same place in the play-offs.

Whatever the result today, I would like to congratulate Nigel and all his backroom staff, and especially all the players who have been involved throughout the season, for giving us such an exciting and entertaining year.

I would also like to congratulate Jamie Hammond and his staff for the very professional way they handled our appearance at Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.

Apart from the result, the entire weekend was extremely well organised and I was very proud to receive so many very complimentary letters.

Two years ago, at Tranmere, we took the League One title. Let's get behind the team today and celebrate at least a point to make this day another memorable one in the club's history.

Your support has carried us this far, we just need that extra push to get over the finishing line. Remember, 'it may only be half time at Wembley.'

Thanks for all your support. Whichever league we are in next year, I will do my utmost to raise our catering to 'PREMIER CLASS'. Caroline Blanchard is joining us in August as our hospitality manager. I am confident you will very quickly see a vast improvement in matchday catering.
