VOTE FOR YOUR PLAYER OF THE SEASON 2015/16

2 May 2016

With the 2015/16 season already drawing to a close, we are asking for your say on who you think has been the Iron’s best player this season.

The player who receives the most votes will be awarded the Ernie Storey Memorial Trophy, the last award to be presented at our annual awards dinner, held in the Sir Ian Botham Executive Lounge on Sunday, May 8.

Iron striker Paddy Madden will be looking to become the first Scunthorpe United player to retain the accolade after coming out on top in last year’s vote after 17 goals in all competitions. The Irishman has already exceeded that tally this season and will be among the contenders once more – Neal Bishop also receiving three awards a year ago.

It’s an award that current manager Graham Alexander received in his playing days for the club (1993/94) while goalkeeper coach Paul Musselwhite was also voted the player of the year in 1988/89.

To view a full list of winners from last season, visit: http://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/article/bishop-wins-four-awards-2438462.aspx

To vote, simply send an email to james.moody@scunthorpe-united.co.uk with “Player of the Season” as the subject title for your vote to count.

The 12th Man holders will also have their own award this year and are able to vote for their player of the season at the same time. Simply put 12th Man in the message, along with your chosen player of the year in the email for the vote to be counted for both categories.

Voting closes on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 5pm.
