TRIO WILL BE ASSESSED

24 July 2014

Russ Wilcox says three knocks were picked up in the Iron's 5-1 pre-season away win at Carlton.

Dave Syers, Deon Burton and James Severn will be assessed ahead of the home friendly clash with Huddersfield on Saturday.

"We picked up a few niggles at Carlton," he told The Iron Player.

"There are a few players who have received a few knocks so we'll have to assess on Friday and see how we go for Huddersfield.

"Dave Syers has a knock on his ankle while Deon Burton has taken a knock to his knee.

"James Severn, meanwhile, has a little problem in his thigh.

"Everyone who played against Lincoln is fine and I'm pleased with the work-out.

"What can you do though? We're going to get contact. We just need to hope that everybody is okay come Friday.

"Marcus took a whack on his knee late on in the game but should be fine.

"I was pleased with the approach of the players."
