The Iron are on the road on Saturday against Leyton Orient hoping to extend their unbeaten away run in the league to eight matches and continue their climb up the League One table.
They go into the game on the back of an excellent point at home to high-flying MK Dons on Tuesday, with Tom Hopper on target for the second time in three appearances.Orient have struggled this season, failing to hit the heights of the last campaign and find themselves towards the bottom of the table in 22nd place.
They have managed to pick up seven points in their last five games though, including victories against rivals Crawley and Yeovil as well as a point a promotion chasing Preston.
Fabio Liverani will hope that David Mooney and Chris Dagnall can continue their goal scoring touch that they have shown in previous weeks to fire them to victory.
Iron boss Mark Robins may make some changes to his team ahead of the trip to East London on Saturday, following a tough game on Tuesday.
Robins said that some players were tiring towards the end of the MK Dons game and that the squad will be assessed for fatigue.
He also felt that a couple of the players who he brought on, including Gary McSheffrey put in a good case for inclusion from the start at The Matchroom Stadium.
Orient won the reverse fixture at Glanford Park earlier this season, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Scott Cuthbert and Jobi McAnuff, with Matt Sparrow scoring for the Iron.
Scunthorpe have a good recent record against the O’s though and were victorious on their last visit to East London, claiming a 3-1 success.
Christian Ribeiro, Karl Hawley and Damien Mozika were all on target in the 2012/13 clash, although the Iron would later get relegated that campaign.
Out of a total of 52 matches played between the two sides, Scunthorpe have a slightly better record than Orient, winning 18 compared to the O’s 16, with 18 draws between the two sides.
