NOLAN HOPING TO RETURN SOON

29 October 2014

United manager Mark Robins confirmed he is yet to know the extent of Rory Fallon’s injury.

The New Zealand forward hit the ground running in a United shirt - scoring three times in his first five appearances - and he hasn’t played since the home draw with Colchester.

The 32-year-old took a knock in a first-half challenge and he was replaced at half-time, initially as a precaution. He has been sidelined since and Robins confirmed to The Iron Player: “I’m currently waiting for clarification on Rory’s situation, but as and when we know we will let everyone know.”

He also provided an injury update with regards to defender Eddie Nolan, who has been absent since the beginning of September - last playing in our visit to Bristol City.

“Eddie will hopefully be back available in the next week or two,” he added.

“He’s been out on the pitch, training and doing everything except from striking.

“He struck a ball and felt a little bit uncomfortable and I’m just waiting for the all-clear from the physiotherapist.

“When he’s done everything without pain, then he will join back in and we will start rehabilitating him and getting him back up to the level of fitness required.”
