MAN Truck and Bus UK and HRVS Group sign sponsorship deal to become the new back of shirt sponsor in two-year deal.
Scunthorpe United are delighted to announce that MAN and HRVS Group have signed a sponsorship deal that will see the “HRVS MAN” logo appear on the rear of the first team home and away playing shirts.HRVS the UK MAN truck dealer, which covers the central and north eastern belt of England, and MAN have signed a two-year agreement with Scunthorpe United and Simon Elliott, managing director of MAN Truck & Bus UK, says the club sponsorship is one which makes excellent business sense for the local dealer and the brand.
He explained: “Football offers a high-profile opportunity for businesses, never more so than in today’s social media age.
“For MAN, this is a strong partnership and we’re delighted to be associated with Prostate Cancer UK, a cause being backed by Scunthorpe United who have donated the front of the shirts in support. We’re a male-dominated industry and as a business, health and well-being is extremely important for us.
“MAN is being supported in the sponsorship by our local dealer HRVS Scunthorpe based in Broughton. This association will help us to achieve maximum brand activation both locally and nationally.”
Keith Sims, operations director of HRVS Group, is delighted to be supporting the local region. He said: “HRVS has a strong presence in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas and this sponsorship will allow us to give something back to the community in which we work and help us spread the MAN message to an even wider audience.”
The deal comes at an exciting time for Scunthorpe United ahead of the planned move to a brand new stadium and Chairman of the football club, Peter Swann, commented: “We are delighted to welcome HRVS Group as a brand new main sponsor of the football club.

The Scunthorpe United first team will wear their newly branded HRVS MAN playing shirts for the first time at the away game against Southend on Saturday 26th September with the first chance for fans to see the players wearing them at Glanford Park on Tuesday 29th when Walsall visit North Lincolnshire.
Fans who have already bought shirts can bring them back to have the logos applied at Glanford Park when we have them in stock.
