LOLLEY LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING STARTED

25 September 2015

New loan signing Joe Lolley is looking forward to getting his Iron career underway.

The 23-year-old midfielder joined on loan from Huddersfield for an initial month on Friday morning and can't wait to get the chance to stamp his mark with the Iron - reuniting with his former Terriers boss Mark Robins.

"I'm delighted to have joined the club. I'm just looking forward to getting started, getting some minutes under my belt and doing well for this club," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

"I know Mark Robins quite well, as he brought me from Kidderminster to Huddersfield and I worked with him for six months.

"I'm looking forward to working under him again.

"I know he likes to play football, get the ball on the floor and get it out wide quickly so I'm looking forward to just getting on the pitch and hopefully doing well for him.

"I like to dribble the ball, run at defenders, commit players, get shots on goal and put crosses into the box so I'd like to think I'm a direct player.

"I'm just happy to be here now.

"I played 10-15 minutes on Thursday night (as a substitute for Huddersfield against Nottingham Forest in the Championship) so I feel sharp, fit and ready if called upon to do a job.

"Hopefully I can get some minutes under my belt, and as a team we can start winning games and climbing the table."

Manager Mark Robins is pleased to bring Lolley to Glanford Park, adding in his pre-match message to 12th Man members: "He is a player I rate and also the sort of player who needs game time and minutes on the pitch.

"Hopefully we can give him that and it can be a fruitful spell here for him. Initially it’s for a month and we’ll just assess it as we go along.

"He’s exciting and a good player who will go past people and he can score a goal as well. He’s a good addition for us."

See much more from Joe Lolley on The Iron PlayerHD.
