United have signed goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall on a one month loan from Millwall.
His spell with the Iron will expire on Saturday, December 8, after the home game with Bournemouth.
The shotstopper joined the Lions in 2011 from Southend United as back-up to David Forde.
However, following the arrival of Maik Taylor this summer, he has found himself third choice; last playing a competitive match in February 2011.
The 33-year-old began his career at hometown club Swindon back in 1995, where he made 38 appearances, including one as a centre forward away at Tranmere Rovers.
While at Swindon he was named young player and player of the year before securing a £150,000 transfer to Notts County.
Mildenhall played 91 games for the Magpies, scoring one goal (a free-kick against Mansfield Town in a League Cup tie) which later appeared as a 'What Happened Next' slot on an episode of A Question of Sport.
The goalkeeper went out on loan to Oldham athletic and then joined the Iron’s rivals Grimsby Town in the summer of 2005, replacing Anthony Williams as the clubs No 1, and was ever present in his only season at Blundell Park.
During the season, Grimsby and Mildenhall notched up a mini-run in the League Cup by defeating Derby County and Tottenham Hotspur, and they also reached the League Two play-off final.
When manager Russell Slade departed for Yeovil at the end of the season, Mildenhall followed and spent two seasons with the Huish Park outfit, making 75 appearances in total before joining Southend.
As well as a career in football he is currently studying for a BA Honours degree in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting at Staffordshire University through the PFA.
