KEVIN VAN VEEN SET FOR IRON MOVE

30 January 2015

United have signed FC Oss striker Kevin van Veen for an undisclosed fee subject to FA and Football League approval.

It is also subject to international clearance coming through before the January transfer window closes.

He has signed a three-and-a-half year deal and will train with his team-mates for the first time next week.

The 23 year-old has been plying his trade in the second division of Dutch football, otherwise known as the Eerste Divisie, and has notched 16 goals in 20 games for Oss so far this campaign.

The player began his career with Helmond Sport in the South East of the Netherlands.

After spells with semi-professional club’s Dijkse Boys and JVC Cuijk, scoring 20 goals in 29 games for the latter, van Veen signed for FC Oss in the summer of 2014, making his debut in the defeat to Volendam. However, in the following game at RKC Waalwijk he bagged three goals in the 4-0 victory.

That was the Eindhoven born front man’s first of three hat-tricks this season, with two in his last four games.
