The Iron have signed Burton Albion striker Billy Kee for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old signs a two-year deal to become Scunthorpe's fifth permanent signing of the summer. He enters the squad for Tuesday night's home game against Fleetwood Town.
He has scored 42 goals in 117 games for the Brewers, including a late brace in Saturday's 2-1 home win over Dagenham and Redbridge.
Billy is a former Northern Ireland U21 international striker who quickly made a favourable impression with Brewers fans after signing from League Two rivals Torquay United in August 2011.
Billy exploded onto the Brewers scene scoring 12 goals in just 14 starts before a niggling groin injury prematurely ended his season.
A prolific young striker with Leicester City where he scored 46 times in 43 appearances for the academy and reserve sides, Billy found opportunities to break into the first team limited and after signing his first professional contract with the Foxes he immediately took the chance to gain first experience with a loan spell in League Two at Accrington Stanley.
A record of nine goals in 37 appearances for Stanley, including one against the Brewers, was a good start and although Billy was released from Leicester at the end of the 2009-10 season his promising performances persuaded Torquay United to offer him a two-year deal to move to Plainmoor.
A regular member of the Gulls squad, Billy scored ten times in all competitions in 2010-11 as the Devon side made it all the way to the League Two play-off final. Ironically Billy's last goal for Torquay was a stunning strike against the Brewers at the Pirelli Stadium in April 2011.
After a record of four goals in eight appearances for Northern Ireland's under 19's Billy made the step up to under-21 level and got off the mark with a hat-trick against the Faroe Islands in August 2011.
