The Iron have signed highly-rated Hendon central defender Charlie Goode.
An England C international, the 19-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the option of a further year in our favour and joins on a free transfer from the Ryman League Premier Division club, who we'd like to thank for their co-operation.We have beaten off competition from several other Football League clubs to make him our fifth signing of the summer, joining Stephen Dawson, Jack King, Scott Wiseman and Isaac Assenso at Glanford Park.
Goode was part of the Fulham youth set-up before making the move into non-league, working with his dad in the family business while playing for AFC Hayes.
He joined Hendon in November, and played a key part in their push for the play-offs, where he faced Margate in the final.
Last month, Goode was called into the England C squad, and played against the Republic of Ireland last week.
