IMPORTANT TO GET BACK ON TRACK

9 October 2015

United goalkeeper Luke Daniels feels, despite the fact Saturday's win against Fleetwood wasn't the best spectacle, the most important thing was that the team got back on track.

"It wasn't the prettiest game, we have played better this season," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

"I think the most important thing was to stop the rot and get back to winning ways - that's the most important thing at this stage."

Daniels stated the significance of keeping clean sheets, after shutting out the Cod Army on Saturday.

He also says it's vital the Iron build on the defensive solidity they didn't show at times last season.

"If we don't concede, we don’t lose, so it's important for us to get back to being more solid and keeping clean sheets," he said.

"At times we have been solid this year, compared to last year, so it's a case of building on that."

The United shotstopper feels every game is winnable and the mindset going into Saturday's clash with Oldham will be no different.

Daniels revealed the squad are in a good place currently and the game against the Latics is a great opportunity to kick on and get three more points.

"Every game we feel is a winnable one," he stated.

"Despite where we are in the league at this stage, we are still confident in what we're doing.

"We do still believe in what we're doing, and I think we go there with a great chance of picking up three points.

"We know we've not been good enough at times this season, we know we've disappointed the fans sometimes. We're in a good place though and hopefully we can now kick on."
