HILL TO REFEREE ON SATURDAY

22 August 2014

The Football League have announced that Keith Hill will take charge of United’s away fixture at Yeovil Town this weekend.

He will be assisted by Mark Derrien and Brett Huxtable whilst Richard Martin has been named as the fourth official.

The Hertfordshire born referee has been involved in three games so far this season, including a 6-6 thriller between Dagenham & Redbridge and Brentford in the Capital  One Cup.

Hill was also in the middle for AFC Wimbledon’s 2-2 home draw with Shrewsbury on the opening day as well as Cardiff’s 3-1 victory over Huddersfield at the Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday and he has brandished nine yellow cards so far this campaign.

His last involvement with the Iron came back in March 2011 as a penalty from loanee Joe Garner gave United a 1-0 triumph over Swansea City at Glanford Park.

Six Scunthorpe players were cautioned during the game as the team picked up a vital three points.

Other games involving Hill and the Iron include a 3-1 home victory over Preston in September 2009, a 2-1 win at Cheltenham during the 2008-09 Play-Off winning season and the 3-2 triumph against Bournemouth in the 2006-07 League One title winning campaign.
