Mark Haywood will take charge of United's derby clash with Doncaster Rovers at Glanford Park on Saturday.
Haywood last refereed the Iron in January of last year, when they played out a 2-2 home draw with Chesterfield.Throughout the 2014-15 campaign, the West Yorkshire official produced 109 yellow and three red cards in his 38 games.
So far this season Haywood has cautioned 54 players, while also dismissing four, in his 22 games.
He will be assisted on Saturday by linesmen Nick Greenhalgh and Simon Mather, with James Mainwaring as the fourth official.
