The Iron can confirm Matt Godden is set to join Conference South side Ebbsfleet United.
With his Scunthorpe United contract set to expire this summer, the club sat down to discuss new terms with the forward three weeks ago in the knowledge that a number of other clubs were interested in acquiring his services.The club offered him a deal which maintained compensation rights and also detailed to Matt and his agent what we'd be prepared to accept should another club be interested in taking him.
Matt has spoken to a number of other clubs and Ebbsfleet have agreed our compensation proposal and agreed terms with the player.
Signing professional in 2009 after coming through our youth ranks, Godden made 19 appearances in all competitions for United.
